Conner's 1-month Check-up

My not-so-little man had his one-month checkup at the pediatrician this morning. His head size and height were average, but his weight was in the 75th percentile at 10lbs 13.5oz!!! She said they like to see big babies, though! He also had to get his second Hep B shot today, which was traumatic. :( I just hate to see that look on his face when he suddenly realizes somebody is hurting him. I gave him his paci to suck on, though, and he calmed down pretty quickly and fell asleep! At his next visit, he is supposed to start the big barrage of like 5 different vaccines all at once, so we talked with the dr about postponing some of his shots or splitting them up because I just can't see how it can be good for a little baby to get pumped full of like 5 different viruses at once. I understand that most of the shots serve a very good purpose and the benefits outweigh the risks, but come on, is my baby really going to get polio nowadays? I don't think so.

Good idea. My Mom always says that if she would have split up the shots with C.J., he might not be autistic. It's scary!
