Conner had his 2 month visit at the pediatrician yesterday, and he is a big boy! He's in the 90th percentile for his height and the 75th percentile for his weight! I already figured he would be tall because Raphael and I are both tall.
Earlier this week, I was going to write a post entitled "the honeymoon is over" because Conner stopped sleeping through the night and was instead waking up at 4am every day. He was also much more fussy. But then we fixed it...
Even though he was already eating more than the "recommended" amount for his age, I decided I was going to up his feedings even more to 6oz at a time. I figured that perhaps he started waking up in the middle of the night because he wasn't getting as much food as he needed during the day. Sure enough, that night, he slept 8 hours again, and has been in a much better mood ever since. I also bought him some new bottles with a stage 2 nipple that has a bigger hole in it, and that has cut his feeding times from 45 minutes to 10! I wish I had done that sooner because now I feel like I have much more time to get things done. That was actually my dad's advice after he saw that we seemed to be spending all of our time feeding Conner this weekend at the cabin...go grandpa!
He also celebrated a few important firsts recently...his first trip to Cold Stone Creamery, and his first trip to Home Depot...
