Easter 2009

Little C got his first ever Easter basket filled with small toys and fishy crackers.

And BOY, was he excited!!!

We invited the whole family over for dinner and our traditional egg-hunt.

Several years ago, my dad started a tradition of filling plastic eggs with change instead of candy (and a few eggs will have grand prizes with actual bills in them!), and my sister and I would fight each other to the death, looking for the eggs. Call us superficial and juvenile, but we still manage to weasel our way into the egg hunt every year with the kids, while the other mature adults do the egg-hiding.

My husband volunteered to help C find some eggs that were "hidden" easily just for him, while my sis and I beat each other up on the side of the house over one solitary egg.

Little C counted his loot in the sandbox, but could have cared less about the money and was more interested in his new sand shovel. And notice that he doesn't like to get his feet dirty...he gets that from me! I have to wash my feet every night before I can crawl into my bed.

And last but not least...my hubby's birthday fell on Easter this year, so we ended the evening with a homemade cake and presents.

Yay, pictures!! These are super cute and I love the fact that you and Jaime still fight over the money filled eggs, haha! I can just imagine the two of you screaming and pulling on each other, lol.

Oh my gosh, could C be any cuter?! He looks so grown up! That's a good idea about putting money in eggs! I'm glad you still do it, even if it's because you're greedy =p I think it's cute that C doesn't like to get his feet dirty like you! AWE
