Tummy Time/ Rashes/ and Hand Mittens-

Ok, so here are a few of the issues we have been dealing with lately...

Conner absolutely hates being on his stomach. We are supposed to give him "tummy time" often so that he can build up his neck muscles, but I swear he is going to be a year old before he can hold his head steady because he can't stand tummy time. He grunts and whines and flails about until he finally just starts screaming after about 5 minutes. Then, he is so annoyed, he fusses for a half hour afterwards and refuses to look at me!

He also has a rash all over the side of his cheeks that actually first showed up about a month ago, but has progressively gotten worse. I'm pretty sure it's eczema, but we are going to the pediatrician tomorrow to find out for sure. It is very dry and scaly looking, and has gotten really red lately as it has gotten colder and dryer outside. Poor baby, it doesn't seem to bother him, but it sure looks painful and itchy.

(This picture was taken the day we went to the Dr, and you can see how bad it got. It did turn out to be eczema, so we have been putting cream on it and it is almost non-existent now. It can't be cured, only managed until he grows out of it.)

We also had to put his dorky little hand mittens back on yesterday. People made fun of us because we kept them on him until he was like 2 months old, and now they are back again! I am just using them temporarily, though, because for some reason he keeps cutting this one side of his nose when he gets tired and trys to rub his face. He scratched it open the other day and keeps re-opening the same cuts.

Other than all that, he is doing well, and is a happy baby most of the time and still sleeps great!!!
