I mentioned previously that I had a slight obsession with the Twilight series of books. That hasn't changed. In fact, I think it's gotten worse!
A little less than two weeks ago (the day after opening day), my sister, mother, cousin and I went together to see the Twilight movie!!!
We went to dinner first at The Keg (yumm-o)-

Giggled like school girls below the illuminated poster out front-

And got there embarassingly early so that we could be first in line. I'm ashamed to say that we succeeded. We were actually the ONLY people in line for about 30 minutes! Even the teenagers who clean the auditorium were judging us.

We were SO excited to see the movie. We went in with an open mind, realizing that the movies are never as good as the books. We knew that. I wanted to love it, I really did. But. It was pretty bad. Seriously. Even a person who had never heard of the series would have had a hard time appreciating the movie as a stand-alone. You know it's bad when you are laughing at all the serious parts!
But I think I will still buy the DVD when it comes out...pathetic I know.

Sometimes it is very necessary to regress in age for an evening! I'm glad that you all enjoyed your girls night out even if the movie was not as great as all had hoped. Looks like you had fun anyway!
Yay fun night!!! I was wondering what you thought about it... I too giggled quite a lot for it being such a "serious" movie. But I won't judge- I'd still read the books even if the movie wasn't that great.
I love Jon & Kate +8! That's why we went to the Pitt Zoo =p I must have missed the chocolate factory one... I'll have to buy the season dvds! haha
Oh dear! You are so weird. I still have not gotten into the Twilight thing. I might be the only one out there. Maybe someday!!
Add some Conner pictures already!
As you probably know I have been obsessed too, but I really liked the movie. I just went last weekend, expecting to be disappointed, but I wasn't...at least not too much.
