Thanksgiving 2008

Just the same as last year, we went to my dad's cabin in Heber this year to celebrate Thanksgiving. There were 15 of us total, including two sets of out-of-towners. The cabin actually only has 3 bedrooms, but we make it work by kicking half of the people out and making them stay in local hotels, or sleep on the couches. Luckily, since we have a baby, we get to sleep in an actual room. ;) I knew that 24 hours of labor would pay off someday!

The best part of the holiday weekend was when we sat down at noon to eat our Thanskgiving meal, and it started to snow outside. It was kind of magical.

I'm sad to say that I took a shamefully minute amount of pictures this year. The following ones will have to suffice...

C quickly discovered how to sneak up the stairs so from the first evening on, everybody had to step over our make-shift barrier to get up to their rooms. I tell ya, you'd think that having a bunch of extra adults on hand to babysit would have made my job easier for a few days, but when the house you're staying in is not baby-proofed and those extra adults leave their cups and cell-phones lying around all the time, it just makes your job twice as hard!

C and my great-aunt Betty matched on Thanksgiving!

I love family crammed houses on holidays! I can't believe how grown up Conner is looking in these pics. He's a handsome little guy!

Oh my gosh, could your son become any cuter??? Every time I see a new picture of him, he's getting older and more handsome! What a proud Mama you must be!! Yay for getting your own room too!
