I am so proud of myself! I made biscuits and gravy, bacon, and eggs this morning and they turned out perfect! The reason I am proud is because it was the first time I've ever made homemade biscuits and gravy (and bacon for that matter), and I usually always totally screw up everything I make for the first time.
Later today I am baking my first ever homemade cake from scratch. Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday and I wanted to try a homemade cake. He requested chocolate, so I will be attempting to make

We live on an acre on the edge of a large city in the Southwest. My husband is a computer nerd and I stay home with our two boys. We were both raised in the big city and never learned any real-life skills until we stumbled upon this little plot of land five years ago.
